Funerals are challenging on many levels. However, “Darla” has been attending more and more of them lately. She has a terrible time with being able to understand the friends and family she is talking to, but a funeral is not the place to shout or ask for repetition time after time.
Her hearing test showed a gently sloping hearing loss that gave her a lot of difficulty picking one voice out of a room full of conversation.
Her new hearing aids worked well in the funeral situation, but she soon realized that funerals and family gatherings have the same noise floors. She had no idea how much she had been missing at birthday parties, as well. She has a class reunion coming up soon, and knows they will work well for her there, too. She wishes she hadn’t waited so long to give them a try.
If you know someone who is still waiting to try hearing aids, have them come meet us!
