Ford Graves

Barketing Manager
I’ve been with HHC since July 2021. My job is to give hugs. Sometimes a hug is all we really need. You may have noticed that I have a lot of fluff. I tend to share that with everybody. Don’t let my size fool you, I’m just a big marshmallow.

What to Expect at Your First Appointment

w

Patient Interview

Typically, the initial appointment begins with a comprehensive interview. We will discuss what kinds of problems you may be having and if you are currently trying anything to treat them. This interview helps us understand each patient’s history and is useful in directing the rest of the testing and treatment. In this interview, we will discuss next steps and what can be done to resolve any issues.

Testing & Evaluation

The next portion of any first appointment is testing. The types of tests will be specific to your symptoms and condition. We may test for hearing loss, tinnitus, sound sensitivity, or general hearing. After the testing and evaluation, we will share our initial diagnosis and discuss treatment options, so you can make an informed decision concerning your treatment plan.

Treatment Plan & Follow-Up

We conduct a decision-making session where we discuss your results and how you can reduce your symptoms and increase your quality of life. Here is where we decide the appropriate next steps, which may mean therapy, hearing aids, or other methods of treatment. We offer treatment and devices on-site, which makes it easy for us to create an individual treatment plan for our clients from the initial visit to follow up and maintenance appointments.

Sue Meyers, Evansville IN

“I have had problems with my hearing for at least 16 years. I have had hearing aids two times from places that sell hearing aids. When I came to Dr. Angela I was so amazed that she helped me so much. The ringing in my head is gone when I have my hearing aids in. I can understand better in small groups as well as over all better. I would never recommend going and just buying. An Audiologist (Dr. Angela) is very involved and wants to please what you desire, the best hearing for all your needs.”
